Cut and Paste Fun
So this is another great classic that is taking you back to your childhood I’m sure. Grab some old magazines or catalogues (yes that junk mail DOES come in handy every once in a while) and all you need is some scissors, cardboard and glue. This is a great activity as it keeps the kids busy for hours.
Cut out and stick onto the cardboard to cut out again. This makes items for “shop” games last much longer. And there are so many spins you can take on this, my kids enjoyed grouping things into fresh and non-food groups. You could even sneak in some math by adding prices to items. The kids even “set up shop” outside and traded for an hour.
Another bit of pasting fun to have, on sheets of paper draw a picture frame, stage, TV or any kind of theme for the kids to fill out with pictures. You could even draw a Christmas stocking and have the kids compile their wish lists. Bound to keep them quiet for at least as long as it takes to drink a cup of tea.
