Age Recommendation 2-5 years.
Bright and jolly are the words that come to mind with this app. Two cute little characters join your child as they work through the kitchen games. This is a great little first app for teaching kids a little about the kitchen that also touches on healthy eating and recycling.
The game is aimed at 2-5 year olds with tasks set being realistic giving the child plenty of success. For younger children you can restrict the number of games they have access to but this seems unnecessary due to the simplicity of the app.
The games kids are presented with are fruit puzzle faces, what items go into a fridge and dishwasher, sorting recyclables, counting eggs to cook, following a plan reconstructing ice-creams, number recognition through setting a timer, ordering fruit by size, identifying vegetables, setting the table and more.
I like how the game seems to randomly present the child with tasks to keep them interested and on their toes. The game is well paced moving quickly through the questions and the narrator clear. As you can see from the screenshots the app is vibrant and colourful helping to make it most appealing to it’s targeted audience. It’s a winner!
