Eggy Vocabulary App

Age Recommendation 4+ years.
Now most of us know Reading Eggs and what a success it has been in Australia. Well now Blake eLearning brings you Eggy Vocabulary. This application aims at extending children’s vocabulary by presenting them with 252 words both spoken and in print encouraging early reading skills learnt through repetition.

The game takes children through the seven days of the week where a different scene is presented to them for each day. The zoo, museum, mountains, school, beach, toy shop, and playground. At each scene children must find the object in the picture that matches the printed words they are presented with. Kids do not need to know how to read to play, as each word that is presented on the screen can be touched to be read by the narrator.

When looking for the items you are timed, if you wish to improve your time or simply play again, the items the game asks you to look for change and are even in different places around the scenes. This in itself creates a game with better shelf life providing your child with a good balance of repetition and surprise to help them learn.

There are three levels of difficulty where the child is presented with either 4, 6 or 10 items to find. You can also create as many name slots as you like making it family friendly. Rewards are in the form of golden eggs and 18 cute critters to hatch as the child achieves the games goals.

If your child likes Reading Eggs, then there is a good chance they will also love Eggy Vocabulary.
