Play School Play Time App

Playschool Play Time App1

By Australian Broadcasting Corporation
Age Recommendation 2-6 years
Play School Play Time is pretty much an interactive story. It’s Humpty’s birthday, and no Play School party would be complete without the Teddies, Jemima, Tiddles, the hosts to walk you through, and of course that happy piano player in the corner of the studio to accompany everyone. This is a very open-ended application. There are though many hidden skills taught here that are not easy to spot.

Concepts such as passing of time, turn taking, pre-reading, 1:1 correspondence and story development are all there teaching your child through fun, familiarity and much loved characters. The application allows children to also view Play School episodes via iview. Beware though, out and about it might be wise to turn net access off so you don’t land yourself a hefty bill. It would be nice to see a parent option where this could be turned off. ┬áIn an update guys?

Lots of little surprises await throughout, and the graphics are absolutely stunning doing and amazing job of making you feel like you have jumped into Play School itself. The three to four year olds who watch the show will I feel will benefit the most, as I think this is the age group it best suits.

This is a big application, but don’t let that deter you. It’s beautiful, fun and most endearing. A beautiful, beautiful app ABC.
