Preschool Dress a Mums Clever Creation
Charlotte’s daughter attends Larool Preschool in Thornleigh NSW. As many of us mums do, we buy the centre t-shirt in support and as a great option to our child’s wardrobe. When Charlotte purchased her daughters, she found it was way too long but in fact, the smallest size. On such a little girl, her preschool t-shirt came down near her knees.
This gave Charlotte an idea. If she added a ruffle (cutting up an old singlet top of hers) she could turn it into a preschool dress, the first of it’s kind. Great idea Charlotte. In the cooler months I could see a skivvy and leggings working well under the dress.
So have a go at making the only preschool dress in your centre, but why stop at just a bottom ruffle. Try sleeve ruffles or even adding your own bling to make it truly unique. But warning… everyone will want one!
Charlotte Mitchell is a mother of two who enjoys dabbling in sewing and being part of her preschool community.
