Series 1 App
By My First App
Age Recommendation 3.5 years.
These guys make great little apps and this one is no exception. While the name is not likely to attract parents into purchasing it for their children, this app is a valuable tool to add to your child’s collection.
A great early maths game, the app aims at getting children to arrange objects according to a variety of principles such as colour, size, quantity and length to name a few. There are three apps in the Series, this being number one. Series 2 and 3 are aimed at kids a touch older and are also worth looking at.
Series 1 consists of 15 boards and encourages children to use visual perception, distinguishing differences, organisation and early maths skills in general. While some of the concepts may seem simple, there are certainly those presented to the child that really get them thinking providing a good balance of challenge. The entwined coloured rings come to mind here and the wagon wheel board.
Some tricky older toddlers would have a good chance of working out the more simple boards, but a great first app, well inline with the younger preschooler.
Well done My First App, It’s one I’ll be throwing at my preschoolers.
