Thai Chicken Chilli with Basil

IngredientThai Chicken Chilli with Basils:
1/2 kilo of chicken skinless thigh fillet or breast fillet
1 onion med size
3/4 cup of green beans cut into 1 inch lengths
1 bunch of basil
1 tablespoon of finely chopped garlic
3 long red chilli’s cut into fine strips (for added heat use 6)
2 tablespoons of light soy sauce
1  teaspoon of dark soy sauce
4 tablespoons of oil
1 teaspoon of sugar
1/2 teaspoon of salt
1 teaspoon of cornflour
2 tablespoons of cold water
1 tablespoon of fish sauce
1 tablespoon of oyster sauce

Chicken Marinade
Take any fat off the chicken and cut into thin slices. Put into a bowl and add the water, dark and light soy sauce, sugar, salt, cornflour and mix together. Put aside for 10-15 minutes.

Prep Your Vegetables
Now chop the garlic, cut the onions and green beans to about 1 inch. Wash basil and take off the leaves. Put aside.

Put your pan on high heat and add oil. When it’s reached medium heat add garlic and stir until lightly brown. Now add the chicken, green beans, oyster sauce and fish sauce to the pan, stiring until half cooked. Now add your onion and chilli. Stir then add basil. Taste. If after a hotter flavour add your additional chilli’s now. Serve with rice.

Preparation time:  20 minutes
Cooking time: 5-8 minutes
Serves:  4 adults
